FIE is a comprehensive cognitive program designed to add value to all children and adults. I’ve completed fie basic and 2 levels of standard and practiced it with neurotypical and neurodivergent children of various age-groups. As you do the program not only do you observe changes in the child but also in yourself. It is a well constructed program with a wide approach yet specific enough to meet individual requirements. It also complements others cognitive programs like NILD

I started my career as a special educator in the year 2000. Now, I practice as an Educational Therapist in Calicut, Kerala. My entry into this field was through a month long intensive program from Alpha to Omega, Chennai. Entering the field with no experience in special education, this course equipped me to plunge head on into the world of specific learning difficulties. It gave me confidence through world class theory and practicals. We enjoyed the hands-on experience with the children everyday and interacting with them. We also got exposure to various related areas through workshops conducted from time to time by guest lectures. My introspection at the end of the course gave me the satisfaction that I had evolved personally and professionally. A big Thank you to Lalitha and Alpha to Omega! Strategic Intervention was the focus, and this helps us to bring about changes in children who struggle with learning.  I’m sure the course would have evolved over the years and more and more  strategic intervention methods would  have been included. I highly recommend this course to anybody who would like to have an edge in the field of Specific Learning Difficulties.

This course on Specific Learning Difference showed me that all children can learn and their learning can be meaningfully enhanced through appropriate educational interventions and mediation.

The internal assessment enabled me to identify the student’s behaviour and performance. This assessment helped in developing a remedial program for the student. It made me outline long term and short term objectives and what materials to be used. The multi sensory teaching approaches will help my students to develop, explore and enhance their learning strengths. The more they learn through a combination of all the modalities, the more embedded their learning will be. I will use Strategic Instructional Model to promote effective teaching and to teach students the critical contents in their text books. I will focus on making my students more active learners and help them improve in their area of deficit.

The NILD course was life-changing for me, my child and family because we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I was introduced to Feuerstein’s Mediated Learning Experiences in 2012 by a parent who was very impressed with the cognitive improvements in her autistic child. I attended the FIE Basic Level 1 course conducted by Alpha to Omega in May 2013. It is absolutely impressive how the various instruments such as “Identifying emotions” and “Empathy to action” can address a child’s most fundamental cognitive aspect through the skilful art of questioning to help a child to learn to think.

When I completed NILD Level 1 with Alpha to Omega in May 2014, I realized the importance of empowering myself with knowledge and therapy techniques to help my child overcome her sensory deficits and learning difficulties. I am also better able to advocate my daughter’s special needs to her principal, school teachers, allied educators and therapists to help her succeed in a mainstream school. The NILD course was life-changing for me, my child and family because we can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. We firmly believe that all Special Needs parents should go for training because they know their child best. We are so grateful to ATO for coming to Singapore to help us.

My journey with Alpha to Omega started in 1995 when I took its 5-week Teacher Training Program to learn how to enable my son more. I had received much help for my son and have seen the growth and benefits of the program throughout the years, for which I am thankful to God. The program not only built my son but also my career as a Remedial Teacher and an Educational Therapist.

Alpha to Omega was born with a vision and mission to help develop, enhance and build the latent abilities and potential of a child, while bringing hope to the hopeless.

Alpha to Omega is constantly re-discovering and re-establishing the current strategies and interventions to help children with Learning Difficulties. The research and resources that go into creating new programs to benefit our young minds is truly expansive.

Lalitha’s “never-give-up” attitude and her conviction in believing in the potential abilities of a child has greatly impacted me and has also imparted in me a strong faith in each and every child. She’s always motivating and encouraging parents and teachers to learn more. I thank God for Lalitha and her “heart“ to carry out this mission, as she truly carries these children in her heart all the time.

I still continue my learning with Alpha to Omega as there is always something new and exciting to equip myself with. I’ve seen Alpha to Omega grow internationally and I’ve been blessed to know them for the past 20+ years. I am thankful that many who are lost can find an answer for their child.
