Collaboration is a fundamental life skill that is essential in educational settings, professional teams, and workplaces.

Many students encounter challenges in areas such as listening, sharing responsibility, and collaborating effectively.

Cooperative Thinking Strategies provide explicit instruction in essential social and group skills. Through these strategies, students learn to work respectfully, productively, and successfully with diverse peers.

The two techniques that we will cover in this Workshop are:

BUILD Strategy

• Facilitates collaborative decision-making among students.
• Imparts essential skills such as active listening, idea sharing, and collective voting.

LEARN Strategy

• Develops study skills and promotes independent learning.
• Results in improved scores, increasing from 18% to 70%.
